Council of the Magickal Arts, Inc

Texas-based 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation founded in 1980 that exists to create two festivals a year (Beltane and Samhain) and produce an online quarterly newsletter, The Accord. CMA promotes spirituality based on Pagan beliefs, and is open to people of all traditions who are interested in celebrating nature, spirit and community

Official Web Site

CMA owns land in Central Texas, called Spirit Haven. Festivals begin on Thursday afternoon and end around noon Sunday. Included are workshops, activities for kids and teens, Vendors’ Row, drumming and dancing around the revel fires, and rituals presented by some of CMA’s many different member traditions.

The organization maintains a good working relationship with local law enforcement, and the general atmosphere of surrounding neighbors is relaxed and friendly.

Events include rituals presented by some of the different member traditions, workshops, drumming, children’s and teens’ activities and much more.  Anyone 18 or older may join CMA. There is no charge for children, but they must be listed on their parent or legal guardian’s membership in order to attend gatherings.

Area representatives are elected by the membership. The election occurs every year at the Samhain festival in October. The term of office is January 1 to December 31 of the following calendar year.

The Accord is a quarterly journal for Wiccans, Pagans and others on a magickal/spiritual path, which focuses on Pagan spirituality, the practices of the magickal arts and topics of interest to the Pagan community. It is published near the Solstices and Equinoxes by the Council of the Magickal Arts, Inc. The Accord is currently created as an e-zine distributed via the web.
